As a Boston photographer, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph the 50th anniversary celebration of JAWS on Martha’s Vineyard for The Washington Post. The island, where the iconic film was originally shot, was buzzing with energy — from nostalgic screenings to intimate panels with cast and crew. I especially enjoyed riding my bike around the island to capture different locations tied to the movie’s legacy, including the famous JAWS bridge, where fans still gather to leap into the water just like in the film. It was a dream assignment that blended storytelling, portrait photography, history, and the unique charm of coastal New England.
